Behind the Scenes with the Stunning Samantha Harris

Our fashion team recently had the good fortune of shooting the gorgeous (and engaged!) Sam Harris for an upcoming fashion story which will be running in our November issue.

You'll have to run out and grab a copy when our November issue hits stands, but as you know, we love giving you a bit of a sneak peek, so here are some behind the scenes pics from the shoot. Our very own Jessica-Lee Slarp did the styling and we know you're just going to love it.

Bride to Be November issue is on sale on November 7th.

Look at Sam's beautiful hair!

Tools of the trade. Just a small sample of Budi's make-up kit!

Time for the first shot. Sam is wearing a stunning gown by Lisa Gowing.

Just a selection of the jewellery on hand, all of these pieces are from Jan Logan.

Our brilliant photographer, Richard Freeman, gets to work.

This is how it looks from the other side of the lens.

Time to go outside. You can't see it here but, trust us, Sam caused quite the stir in Hyde Park!

Sam takes time out and gets up close and personal with the cutest family of puppies!

Just some of the beautiful flowers for the shoot provided by George at Seed Flora.

One of the Bulgari clutches Sam wore for the shoot.

Some more gorgeous flowers from Seed Flora.

Just a touch more hairspray!

Behind the scenes on our latest shoot

We know you all love seeing what goes on behind the scenes at Bride to Be, and we love giving you what you want! So, here is a little insight into our day to day activities and what it's like to be behind the camera on a BTB photo shoot.

Our fabulous fashion girls recently shot a story for an upcoming issue, so you'll simply have to wait for the final results. However to keep you going until the issue hits stands, we asked the girls to take some behind the scenes pics and because you're lucky, also some video footage!

Take a look and see what our fashion team gets up to and just what is involved in putting together those gorgeous pages for you each issue.

 Hair and make-up begins.

Our lovely intern Maddie steaming the clothes - not a crease in sight!
 Inspiration for our shoot.
Nothing is forgotten, not even the nails.

There's no such thing as too many shoes.
 A well earned caffeine break.

Even the guys need a bit of grooming.
It's all hands on deck.

 It's a wrap!

Behind the scenes and BIG hair!

Our latest bridal shoot was shot on location at Lilianfels in the Blue Mountains. Seriously amazing venue!!

The entire crew were lucky enough to spend the night there and never wanted to leave (not to mention making the rest of the office rather jealous!)

Our Fashion Director Elana says "This venue is the ultimate home away from home, complete with an indoor heated pool, billiards room and lush landscaped grounds. We were treated to a perfect Spring day in Katoomba; crisp and fresh in the morning with gorgeous sunshine.  Perfect for our eccentric English bridal shoot."

Now, you'll have to wait for our February-April 2012 issue to see the final shots (yes, we do work quite far in advance) but in the meantime here are the behind the scenes shots to keep you entertained.

The model Marta sat patiently through 3 and a half hours of hair and make-up to achieve the amazing hair, and it was worth every second. Starting off with straight, blonde hair, just look at the final product!

Elana got us the inside info, "hair and makeup artist Emma Haddock created the look by winding Marta’s hair into ‘S’ bend curls while Corrie Bond, our photographer captured the style of our shoot with her unique, creative and feminine approach"

A big thanks to Elana, for always providing us with behind the scenes pics, it's not like she isn't busy enough on shoots!
