Top 10 wedding photographers of the world

American Photo, one of the world's leading photography magazines sets the benchmark for inspirational photography worldwide. Each year, the magazine awards the 10 best wedding photographers from around the world (the annual awards night is regarded as the 'Oscars' of the wedding photography world!)

This year, four Australians made the top 10 including Brisbane photographer Marcus Bell, owner and principal of Studio Impressions Photography.

Throughout his 10 year career, Marcus has been named the Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year three times and had his images published in 40 books in 50 different countries.

"I love weddings with all their emotion and all the little connections between people. So in each image I take at a wedding I just want to show that couple how wonderful what they have is, how lucky they are to have their friends and family and, each other. I want to show them not just how beautiful they look, but the beauty that they have, right there in their life. For me that is what wedding photography is about," says Marcus.

"To be recognised by other photographers just for doing what I love – that's just a bonus. To be in a list of this calibre, well that’s an honour," he adds.

Marcus is a founding member of the Nikon Ambassadors, who were chosen to inspire other photographers through their own work and also through video tutorials on the My Nikon Life website.
