Kate's Royal Wedding Style

With the Royal Wedding behind us, take a look at the detail that went into creating Kate's wedding day look. You can view our full Royal Wedding gallery here.
As Kate left London's Goring hotel and stepped into the Rolls-Royce with her father Michael, we took our first glimpse at Kate's vintage-inspired lace wedding gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Kate wore a 1936 Cartier 'halo' tiara that was loaned to her by the Queen - a tradition for royal weddings. The bride's diamond earrings were a wedding day gift from her parents, Michael and Carole, representing their family's coat of arms.

Kate's sister and Maid of Honour Phillipa Middleton looked stunning in her silk crepe ivory gown with lace detailing and buttons, also by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
Kate's shield-shaped bouquet was designed by Shane Connolly and featured myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth. The bouquet contained stems from a myrtle planted by Queen Victoria in 1845, and a sprig from a plant grown from the myrtle used in The Queen’s wedding bouquet of 1947.
Kate chose her hairstylist of eight years, James Pryce of the Richard Ward Salon and Metrospa in London to create wedding look. She opted for a classic demi chignon with romantic curls falling behind her shoulders. Rumours are yet to be confirmed that Kate did her own makeup using Bobbi Brown products.
For the reception, Kate changed into a strapless white satin gazar evening gown with a circle skirt and diamante embroidered detail round the waist, also by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
