Merry Christmas

Like most offices around Australia right now, there's a lot of excitement and laughter going on at Bride to Be. We wrap up for 2010 tomorrow and have been frantically finishing off lots of bits and pieces which will be hitting shelves at the start of next year. I'm so excited about some of them, I want to tell you all about every bit right now, but I can't just yet.... You'll have to stay tuned.

As that exhausted haze that comes over everyone in the final lead up to Christmas hits, it becomes harder and harder to concentrate on writing and designing. How are we getting through these final moments? Well, thanks to some very generous PRs, we've been overloading on sugar. I wanted to share with you this very special box of cupcakes that arrived this morning (made by The Cupcake Princess) and courtesy of Sweaty Betty PR. Yes, they tasted as good as they looked! 2011 is going to be a BIG year for Bride to Be and kicks off in early January with the release of our first annual - the Your Day real weddings magazine. This is a compilation of all of the best weddings we've received over the past 12 months. Some of them are favourites from previous issues, but lots of them are brand new offerings for you to feast your eyes on and draw copious amounts of inspiration from.

Our cover couple, Teagan and Isaac from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, was shot by photographer Calli B. It's one of my favourite shots that I've seen this year.

From the moment I sat down in the editor's chair at Bride to Be, I've been blown away by all the fabulous real weddings that people are sending us. Country weddings, beach weddings, chic city weddings... I see everything. They are all so different, and they are all so amazing! It's so hard to narrow it down to the 34 we can fit into the annual, but we did. I hope you love all of them as much as I did.
